An emergency room doctor was one of two people killed in a plane crash Monday that also left one person critically injured.
Authorities say Doctor Damien O'Neill of Franklin owned and piloted the Piper Lance plane that crashed in far western North Carolina.
Doctor Larry Opoliner, a general surgeon at Murphy Medical Center, was still in critical condition at Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The name of the other passenger has not yet been released, pending autopsy results.
The plane was flying to North Carolina from Orlando, Florida.
