NC Police Look Into Murder-Suicide 911 Response
North Carolina police are investigating why it took more than an hour to dispatch officers to the home of a real estate developer who killed his wife and two teenage children and himself last week.

North Carolina police are investigating why it took more than an hour to dispatch officers to the home of a real estate developer who killed his wife and two teenage children and himself last week.
Multiple media outlets report that Fayetteville police are reviewing a 911 call placed from a landline phone in the home of 47-year-old William Maxwell while he was killing his family.
In the call a female can be heard moaning, followed by a gunshot before the line goes dead. Officers were sent to the home just before Maxwell's father-in-law called from the home to report a murder-suicide more than an hour after the first 911 call.
The 911 dispatcher had called the phone back after the line went dead but got a busy signal and later left a message on the answering machine.

Do not judge this person until you have tried their job. Do you like being yelled at, cursed at, having to do everything right everytime, without exception. Try it. Current technology can show the number but it does not always show the address. Let the investigation carry out before you decide what is what. Quit belkieving what you see on TV this is real life. Did she/he do wrong I don't know and neither do you. And for the person complaining about tax dollars you are demanding excellence out of a person that is maybe paid $13 an hour, remember you get what you pay for.

WOW is this what our tax dollars are going down the drain for?? Ignorance such as this is the same reason why the towers fell. How can you hear a gunshot on the line and not dispatch?? People in a position to help are using thier own judgement in situations where thier judgement shouldnt be allowed. If a call is placed, investigate it regardless of what YOU think.
