Child's play turned into a major find for a toddler in Franklin, Massachusetts.

He dug up a woman's wedding rings lost more than three decades ago.

"I was just sitting there watching the kids play in the dirt - like they usually do - and Ryan walks up to me and says 'Mommy, I found your ring," said Luna Baima. "He gives it to me and I was like 'Oh Ryan, thank you.' He gives it to me, and I didn't think anything of it though it was maybe costume jewelry and he was like 'do you want the other one?' I was like yeah sure!"

It turns out the rings 3-year-old Ryan Baima dug up were lost 33 years ago by his home's original owner, retired school teacher Joan Mulligan.

After some detective work, Ryan's mom delivered the good news by phone.

"She said 'I think I have something that belongs to you,' and immediately it flashed through my mind that's what it was," said Mulligan. "I couldn't believe it!"

Mulligan lost the rings when she was gardening. She gave Ryan a $50 reward. Mulligan says she will have her long lost rings repaired in time for her 50th wedding anniversary in August.
