Fourth Suspect Arrested in Wilson Wal-Mart Shootings

Maurice Ruffin faces attempted first degree murder charges

Wilson Police have now charged four people with attempted first degree murder for the early Friday morning shootings of four teenagers.

Police have arrested 21 year old Maurice Ruffin of Applewhite Ave., Stantonsburg, and charged him with attempted first degree murder. His bond is set at $250,000.

Within hours of the shootings Friday, WIlson Police arrested 18 year old Terrell Bynum of Thurston Dr., Wilson and charged him with attempted first degree murder. 20 year old Christopher Todd Davis of Starmount Circle, Wilson and 18 year old Anthony Jerrel Cannady or RB Ave., Stantonsburg are charged with accessory after the fact of attempted first degree murder.

Wilson Police say four teens were shot outside the Wal-Mart on Forest Hills Rd. in Wilson around 1:25 a.m. Friday. It's not clear why a group of people gathered there in the middle of the night.
