The Riding For Miracles event came to a close this afternoon in Martin County.
It's a fundraiser for the Children's Miracle Network which brings equestrians from all over the state to the Bob Martin Agricultural Center to compete in Hunter and Jumper Events.
Although the real winners are the more than 80 riders who participated for this cause. Barbara Davis has organized this for the past seven years and raised more than 35 thousand in that time. She say she does it for a very good reason. Her son was born healthy and she she sympathizes with parents can't bring their newborns home due to complications.
She hopes to raise 8 thousand dollars this year to benefit Children's Hospital of Eastern Carolina
