Thousands Attend Slain Officer's Funeral

Friends, family and uniformed officers honored Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officer Sean Clark at his funeral yesterday.

Clark and Officer Jeff Shelton were killed Saturday as they tried to nswer a domestic disturbance call. Shelton's funeral will be held later today .

At Clark's funeral, colleague Charlie Eubanks said the 34-year-old "finished strong," clicking his radio after he was shot so dispatchers would know something was wrong.

About three-thousand people attended Clark's funeral, which was followed by a funeral procession.

Both Clark and Shelton died early Sunday morning. Police charged Demeatrius Montgomery with two counts of first-degree murder in their deaths.
