Morehead City travelers can expect some congestion on their main drag Wednesday.

Westbound traffic on US 70 in Morehead City will be detoured at 35th Street, starting Wednesday. That's about a block away from Carteret General Hospital. Crews are going to replace a rail crossing there. Westbound drivers are encouraged to get over to Bridges Street as soon as they are able to, instead of waiting for the detour to kick in.
