In one eastern Carolina town it's anyone's guess who will be elected.
The Wayne County town of Eureka has a way of doing things a little differently when it comes to electing city officials. That's because no one is running for office.
It has been years since anyone ran for a local government seat. The town currently has a mayor and four town commissioners, but all of them were written in during the last election.
Locals say they've gotten a reputation for write-in votes, but some say it works for them.
Only 156 people are registered to vote. Officials say voter turnout is usually around 30 percent or around 40 people.
The Wayne County Board of Elections says they received 18 write-in votes for Eureka's mayor Tuesday. The ballots will stay sealed until the official count on November 10.

Actually, this is how moderates felt this past presidential election, there is no one to vote for. 2012, they will know who "not" to vote for, pick the other guy no mater what.
Have you ever been to EUREKA? It Eurekas. BORING LITTLE TOWN. Still, SOMEBODY should have stood up to represent. Thats kinda sad.
Is there ever anyone to vote for? Just the lesser of the evils. And it is not just small towns.
