Strawberry Crops In Limbo

With just two weeks before the beginning of strawberry picking season, near freezing temperatures threaten the ripening of the tender berries. Local farmers, Steve Mclawhorn and Mike Skinner say they're prepared to stay up all night monitoring their close to eighteen thousand dollar crop. Skinner adds, with the forecasted four days of near or below freezing temperatures, if they don't protect the crop, they could lose almost ten thousand dollars worth of strawberries.
