Saturday is the last day for one-stop voting in the upcoming municipal elections. Election day is Tuesday.

One town in the East has a liquor by the drink referendum on the ballot. Voters from La Grange in Lenoir County will consider this issue Tuesday. The Kinston Free Press says the measure would allow restaurants and bars to serve mixed drinks, in addition to beer and wine. Two years ago, Snow Hill rejected a similar measure on their ballot.
