Churches Rebuild Following Arson

It's been two months since an arsonist set fire to the Unity Free Will Baptist church and Memorial Baptist Church in Greenville.

The most severely damaged, the Memorial Baptist church, is starting to get back on its feet. Though most of the church lies in charred ruin, the cleanup is fast approaching completion, and members have moved back into the newly-repaired church offices and the fellowship hall.

The children's wing and education building could be back in operation by fall, and the sanctuary may be hosting services before the end of this year.

Though reconstruction won't be complete, the Memorial Baptist congregation plans to have a tent service on church grounds Easter Sunday.
