Municipal officials and state officials took to Greenville for the first time in its annual conference's history.

The Greenville Convention Center played host to the North Carolina League of Municipalities annual conference Sunday. Morehead City Mayor, and League of Municipality President, Jerry Jones, precided over conference activities.

Speakers focused on observing the economic impact of North Carolina cities and towns.

Booths were set up around the convention center to present technological advancement opportunities to local municipalities.

Founded in 1908, the league is a voluntary, nonpartisan association of more than 540 cities, towns and villages in North Carolina.
