New Bridge Construction Will Cause Traffic Delays
A 7 month long construction project means a new bridge for one town in Bertie County, it also means travel delays.

A 7 month long construction project means a new bridge for one town, but it also means some congestion to get there.
The DOT says work begins Monday on a new bridge on US 17 in Windsor in Bertie County, the main route of travel there. Crews will be shutting down lanes to build the bridge, starting Monday and continuing through mid May.
Trucks will be encouraged to take a detour.

I know everyone will irritated by this construction, but please try to be patient because the new bridge is badly needed!
