Tied up, beaten, raped and robbed. Kinston police say a 69-year-old woman became the victim of a brutal crime this weekend, during a home invasion on Spence Avenue.
Tony Pernell Rouse, who is 38 and from Kinston, is charged with rape, kidnapping and burglary. He is locked up on a $200,000 bond.
Police say Rouse got into the home by breaking out the window glass in a rear door early Sunday morning. The victim was treated at the hospital and released.
