Police Say Greenville Shooting Was Gang Related

Greenville police have arrested two teens in connection with a shooting Thursday afternoon. Officers say 17-year-old Torrence McLawhorn was walking down Broad and Wade streets in Greenville when he was shot four times. He was treated at Pitt County Memorial Hospital. Detectives arrested 17-year-old Sammie Matlock and 19-year-old Keyonta Langley. Police say they don't know if there's a motive, but do say it was gang related. Detectives tell us Matlock and Langley admitted to being affiliated with the CRIPS gang.
