Dupiln, Greene, Lenoir, Martin and Pitt counties will be under a freezing rain advisory from 4am to 1pm on Monday. Beaufort, Craven, Jones and Washington counties will be under the advisory from 4am to 10am.
Fort Bragg's 82nd Airborne Division has
identified the six soldiers killed when a bomb exploded near their
vehicles earlier this week in Iraq.
The deaths were the division's largest loss of life in the past
The victims were identified as: Specialist Ryan M. Bell, of
Colville, Washington; Staff Sergeant Justin M. Estes of Sims,
Arkansas; Private First Class Cory C. Kosters of Woodlands, Texas;
Sergeant. Andrew C. Perkins, of Northglenn, Colorado.; Specialist
Justin A. Rollins of Newport, New Hampshire, and Staff Sergeant
Robert M. Stanley of Spotsylvania, Virginia.
Their company commander, Captain Eugene Farris, called each of
the soldiers a hero and said it was an honor to serve with them.
