On and off quick downpours will be possible through Sunday afternoon. Heavier rain could bring another 1 to 3 inches of rain to a few locations late Sunday and into Monday afternoon.
It's a victory for people trying to get an adult business permanently shutdown in Onslow County. A Superior Court judge has ordered the Southern Comfort adult business on Highway 172 in Sneads Ferry, to close for good, saying it is a public nuisance.
In addition to permanently closing the business, the company cannot open a similar business there or anywhere in the state. No one else can open a sexually oriented business there either.
The Onslow County Sheriff's Department conducted a separate criminal investigation against the Southern Comfort, which has resulted in the filing of numerous criminal charges.
