Duke Tuition To Go Up

It's going to cost a little more to attend
Duke University next year.
Tuition for undergraduate students at Duke will increase four
and a half percent to more than $34,000 in the coming
academic year.
The university's Board of Trustees approved the hike Friday,
raising annual tuition in arts, sciences and engineering colleges.
Officials say the total cost for undergraduate students for the
2007-2008 school year will be more than 45-thousand dollars,
including room and board.
Tuition for Duke's graduate school will also increase four and a
half percent to $34,140. The Board of Trustees
approved increases of varying degrees for the university's
professional schools.
School officials say about 45 percent of undergraduates receive
financial aid, and 40 percent receive need-based aid.
