Moore County emergency crews rescued a pilot from a tree Monday after a gust of wind blew the man's experimental aircraft into the branches. The man was caught about 50 feet above the ground when his powered parachute became entangled in the limbs of the tree. Authorities say he broke his leg. Firefighters used a ladder to bring Schilling down. The pilot was airlifted to UNC Hospitals in Chapel Hill.
