A Martin County woman was so bothered by recent reports of two abandoned infants discovered in Eastern Carolina that she wanted to share her own painful story to try and prevent something similar from happening again. Amanda Follin and her husband Brian have been trying to conceive a child for the last five years. The couple has endured the pain of losing a child during each one of those years. Doctors told the couple that for some reason Amanda's body is not able to carry a child to full term. She says trying to get pregnant has been an emotional roller coaster. Amanda says she and her husband are not done trying to get pregnant, but in the mean time they're looking forward to adopting a baby that needs a home.
