The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University is holding its annual Women's Health Conference March 1-3 in Atlantic Beach.
New therapeutic and technological advances will be topics as the participants focus on health care for women.
Brody's news release says: "The annual Women’s Health Conference of the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University provides up-to-date practical clinical information on new diagnostic procedures, current therapeutic protocols and research advances that impact diagnosis and therapy. Multi-specialty course faculty will provide the latest findings and interpretations including clarifying ongoing controversies in many areas of women’s health. Diseases and conditions that manifest themselves differently in women, that affect women disproportionately and those that place women at greater risk than men will be highlighted. Topics will include family planning, heart disease, lung cancer, end-of-life care, osteoporosis, acupuncture, HIV, HPV vaccine, eating disorders, menopause, pregnancy and elective Caesarean sections, metabolic syndrome and facial rejuvenation. "
