Thursday, former State House Speaker Jim Black pled guilty to one charge of corruption. Prosecutors say Black accepted about $29,000 from three unidentified chiropractors, who had an interest in potential legislation before the general assembly. Court documents say Black told one of the chiropractors, "This is just between me and you. Don't you ever tell anybody about this." The charge carries a maximum sentence of 10 years in prison and a $250,000 fine. Sentencing is set for May 14.
