A Bertie County man is charged with trafficking the drug ecstasy, which is similar to methamphetamine. Lawmen say Linwood Earl Jones of Windsor sold 140 pills to an undercover officer. Investigators say Jones was arrested in Martin County after detectives from Bertie, Beaufort and Martin Counties tracked him for several months. Authorities say following the arrest, Jones' house was seized and nearly 600 more ecstasy pills were confiscated.
