Camp Lejeune Commander Says Marines Not Allowed To Frequent Nightclub

Last month, we told you about a night club in Sneads Ferry that was under investigation by the Onslow County Sheriffs Department after an undercover investigation revealed Illegal sexual activity taking place. Authorities say they witnessed oral sex for money, lap dances and lewd acts during a raid at Southern Comfort, an adult night club. They arrested seven employees of the club in January on charges that included indecent exposure and crimes against nature. On February 6, Superior Court Judge John Nobles Issued a temporary restraining order against the property, owners and business owners of the club. It's the first step in a civil nuisance abatement case brought by the county. Furthermore on Monday, Colonel Adele Hodges, commander of Camp Lejeune stepped in as well. She says Marines stationed at Camp Lejeune are not allowed at Southern Comfort until further investigation. The county will ask the court to issue an injunction permanently prohibiting the operation of Southern Comfort at a hearing scheduled for Thursday. The club is also subject to separate action by the Onslow County Planning Department for violations of the county's zoning ordinance.
