New jobs are heading to Williamston in Martin County.
Monday morning, North Carolina Commerce Secretary Jim Fain cut the ribbon to the new processing center for Quintiles Transnational Corporation, a pharmaceutical services provider.
The new facility located at the Northeast Telecommunications and Business Center in Williamston will employ 60 people with weekly wages averaging around $576.00, plus benefits.
Quintiles headquarters is in the Research Triangle Park.
The center received money from a state fund that assists in industry recruitment and expansion.
