Police now say the case of a newborn found in a Rocky Mount dumpster last week is a homicide. The baby was just two or three days old, according to the medical examiner. The infant boy was found in a dumpster behind a shopping center on Harbor West drive, naked, with his umbilical cord still attached. Police say this is clearly not a case of abandonment or a stillborn baby. A cause of death has not been released. Possible evidence collected inside the dumpster is being investigated. A $10,000 reward is being offered in the case. There have also been no arrests in connection with a baby's body found in Duplin County last week.
