New Grant Money for Local Firefighters

Fighting fires should be a little easier for local fire departments, thanks to the Department of homeland security's grant.

More than a million dollars will help several of North Carolina's first reponders. Two local fire stations are receiving a portion of that money.
Richlands Volunteer Fire Department will receive more than thirty thousand dollars. Rosewood Volunteer Fire Department in Goldsboro will receive more than eighty thousand.

Nationwide, more than 485 million dollars will help fire deparments across the country.
