Prosecutors Want Mother To Remain Behind Bars

A federal judge in Raleigh ruled today that a mother
who allegedly kidnapped her biological children in December should
stay in jail.
Allison Quets had asked to be released while she awaits trial on
international parental kidnapping charges.
A court filing released by prosecutors says Quets remains
obsessed with regaining control of the kids.
Quets is accused of kidnapping her 17-month-old twins from their
adoptive parents in Apex and fleeing to Canada.
Last month, a federal magistrate ordered Quets detained. The
49-year-old from Orlando, Florida, has appealed to a U-S District
Court judge.
Assistant U-S Attorney John Bowler says Quets had planned the
abduction for months.
