Ford Vehicles Get High Marks For Safety

New crash test results are out from the National Insurance Institute for Highway Safety. The institute gave Ford's 2007 Fusion sedan and its 2007 Edge sport utility vehicle top scores in both front and side impact crash testing. Ford made changes to improve the Fusion's ability to withstand front and side crashes. The Edge also received a good rating for rear crash protection, earning it the institute’s 2007 top safety pick award. The institute adds additional top safety picks throughout the year as automakers introduce new models or make safety changes.
