N.C. National Guard Has New Leader

The North Carolina National Guard has named
a new Chief of the Joint Staff.
Colonel Keith Mabry took over the duties Thursday and will be
the senior ranking operations officer responsible for daily
operations of the National Guard, which has about 12-thousand
soldiers and airmen in North Carolina.
Mabry will rank third in the overall chain of command for the
North Carolina National Guard and acts on behalf of the Adjutant
General in his absence.
Mabry joined the state's National Guard in 1980.
