Bicyclist Injured In Greenville Accident
An accident involving a bicyclist and a car sent the bike rider to the hospital Monday night.

An accident involving a bicyclist and a car sent the bike rider to the hospital Monday night.

It happened after 8:00 pm near the intersection of Greenville Boulevard and Charles Boulevard.

Police haven't said exactly what happened, but say the person on the bicycle was taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital and is expected to be alright.

Police say charges are not expected in this accident.

If you are on a bicycle you ARE traffic. There's not enough info in this story to conclude anything.

From the plethora of information released by LEO on this wreck all we know is the cyclist wasn't killed. We don't know direction of travel, location in the lane of travel, or anything except that the cyclist wasn't killed(which is a good thing). And by the law "out in traffic" is where bicycles and their riders belong, bicycles are vehicles in all 50 states and DC even if sometimes LEO are loathe to admit it, they have bias just like about 45% of the rest of the citizenry. Bicycles are vehicles and have a right to the lane of travel if required for their safety.

@ ROBH...I have to agree and unlike other's,I believe you have just as much right to assume (which I did not see) or comment as the next person.It's funny how someone is always trying to tell another what to think...go figure!
