Former Pitt County School Superintendent Takes Over Reigns In Bertie County

A familiar face in education in Eastern Carolina has taken over the reigns in Bertie County, at least for now. Former Pitt County schools superintendent Michael Priddy will assume the role of interim superintendent for Bertie County schools Thursday. He will serve until a permanent superintendent can be found, which is expected to happen by mid-Summer. Priddy retired from Pitt County schools in 2005. Former Bertie County schools superintendent Nettie Collins-Hart had her contract terminated by the school board just a week ago.
