Autopsy Report In Death Of Teen

An autopsy report says the teenager
killed when a sheriff's deputy fired through his door had gunpowder
on his chest.
Experts say that means 18-year-old Peyton Strickland was likely
no more than two feet from the deputy when the deputy fired.
Strickland had been accused of stealing a PlayStation 3 console
when law enforcement officials went to his house in Wilmington to
arrest him.
The deputy, Christopher Long, has told prosecutors he mistook
the sound of a police battering ram for gunfire and shot through
the door, hitting Strickland. No charges are filed against Long,
but it's possible a grand jury could still indict him.
Strickland, a Durham native, died after being hit in the head
and chest.
