Restaurant Worker Talks About Staring Death In The Face

He survived a terrifying ordeal Wednesday night, and Friday he told his story to WITN-7.

Twenty-four-year-old Robert Danley is the employee of a Subway restaurant in Jacksonville, who managed to run away from a masked robber, even after the robber put a gun in his face and pulled the trigger.

Incredibly, the gun didn't go off. Danley escaped through the back door, and the two customers locked themselves in the bathroom, just before the gunman loaded his weapon and started firing.

Danley knows just how fortunate he is to be alive. Robert says he may return to work as early as Monday.

Authorities don't have any leads on the masked gunman, but say the investigation will continue.
