Police say a Kinston man who was shot during a home invasion Wednesday morning, is lucky to be alive. Anthony Robinson, 21 years-old, told authorities he was shot in the shoulder after he answered his back door and two men tried to force their way in. He fought back, pushing the intruders out and that's when police say he was shot. Robinson then drove himself from his home on Old Snow Hill Road to nearby Lenoir Memorial Hospital. It's a crime that now has neighbors on high alert. Robinson was transferred to Pitt County Memorial Hospital where he was treated and released.
