The popular TV reality series "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" is looking for a North Carolina family to feature on an episode.
The News & Record of Greensboro reported that nominations can be
made either by family members themselves or by someone in their
community.
Candidates must own the property they live in and demonstrate why they are "deserving, heroic and/or a great role model for their community."
The series follows teams of designers, contractors and volunteers as they raise a home in under a week. The family gets a weeklong vacation during that time.
The deadline for nominations is Aug. 7. The show featured two
North Carolina families last season.
Those interested in nominating someone can e-mail castingnorthcarolina@gmail.com or print out an application at

I count it an honor to nominate Charitina (Tina) Jones who has for years raised and cared for her children and those of family members whose life styles made it impossible for them to raise their own childrem. She has faced many struggles in order to care for theses children. Recently, her sister, the mother of some of the children died of of AIDS. Tina's home is in GREAT need of major repairs. She is a single mom with one income. Even though she struggles, being a mother to these children and keeping them out of foster care is very important to her. For many years, she did not know her own mother! She deserves a break. PLEASE HELP.
