The search for a gunman put a school on lockdown in Beaufort County Monday. Deneen Neals Johnson, 42 years-old, of Greenville was found shot in a yard on Harrington Street in Washington around noon. That's near John Cotton Tayloe school, which teaches second and third grade students. The school was put into lockdown while police canvassed the area. Police say the suspect, 43 year- old Frank Johnson, was found a short time later hiding in a hedge a short distance from the scene of the crime, which was his home on Harrington street. There is no word if the victim and suspect are related, or what sparked the shooting.
