Outdoor Plants: Warmer Weather Warrants Worries?

December's cool holidays may seem like a distant memory with the recent days of warmer weather, which has some residents worrying that high temperatures will confuse their outdoor plants and make the plants vulnerable to future drops in the mercury. Greenville nursery owner Doug Roberson says not to worry, most plants have built in “safeguards" and a short rise in temperatures won't fool the foliage. Many plants wait until longer days and rising ground temperatures announce the arrival of spring. Roberson says if a cold snap does kill any of your outside plants--don't despair--most will make a successful return in the spring.
