Planes and pilots from Seymour Johnson Air Force base in Goldsboro took part in Wednesday's funeral for former President Gerald Ford in Michigan.
Those planes included F-15-E Strike Eagle fighter jets from the Fourth Fighter Wing, as well as tankers from the 916th Refueling Wing.
Ford was laid to rest in Grand Rapids on a hill overlooking his museum.
He grew up in Michigan, played college football there and later represented that state in Congress.
Ford, the 38th President, died last week at the age of 93.
