Business That Thrives On Cold Weather Sees Big Drop In Sales

Wednesday in Eastern Carolina, temperatures soared into the mid 60s, giving many people the chance to soak up the rays.

However, one person not soaking it up is Brian Potter of Potter Oil Company in Aurora. He says his business has seen a 50 percent drop in oil consumption because of the unseasonably warm temperatures.

Potter says Carolinians are just not turning on the heat, which is making his oil sales cool off.

Meteorologists predict the warm weather to continue for a bit longer. This Saturday, temperatures are expected to reach the mid 70s.
