It didn't take long for the New Year's baby to arrive at Pitt County Memorial Hospital in Greenville. Baby Jesse Wade was born at 12:28 Monday morning to parents Judy Blass and Daniel Wade of Kinston. Jesse was six-pounds-four ounces and nineteen-and-a-half-inches when he made his arrival into the world. Nurses and doctors alike feared no baby New Year this year due to the lack of expecting mothers on New Year's day. But Judy Blass went into labor shortly before the ball dropped in Times Square on New Year's Eve. Mother and baby are said to be in good condition. Health officials at Pitt County Memorial Hospital say Judy and Daniel should be able to take baby Jesse home by Wednesday.
