Three N.C. Troops Die In Iraq

Three North Carolina-based members of the
military have died in Iraq.
The Department of Defense says the deaths include two Marines
who died while conducting combat operations.
Marine Corporal Joshua M. Schmitz of Spencer, Wisconsin, died
Tuesday and Marine Lance Corporal William C. Koprince Junior of
Lenoir City, Tennessee died Wednesday.
Both were assigned to 3rd Battalion, 2nd Marine Regiment, 2nd
Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force at Camp Lejeune. The
military says the unit is based in Iraq's Anbar province.
Also, the military says Army Specialist Michael J. Crutchfield
of Stockton, California, died Saturday in Balad of a non-combat
related injury. His death is under investigation.
He was assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 4th Air Defense Artillery
Regiment at Fort Bragg.
