Three People Dead In Rocky Mount Shooting
Police say three people are dead after a double murder-suicide in Rocky Mount.

Police say three people are dead after a double murder-suicide in Rocky Mount.
Police got a call around 4:30 that there had been a shooting at 916 B Benvenue Road.
When police arrived they discovered three people with gunshot wounds.
Police say witneses told them 53 year old William Schowengerdt and his stepson, 21 year-old Alex Walker, had been arguing when Mr. Schowengerdt got a handgun and shot his stepson.
Walker ran from the residence and collapsed in front of 916 Benvenue Road.
Police say Mr. Schowengerdt then shot his wife, 56 year-old Lynda, and then shot himself on the front porch of 916 B Benvenue Road.
Police say the investigation is ongoing.

Concerned Citizen: I understand your point, and of course, I am not referring to folks on their way to or from a job in the evening. I have worked 2nd & 3rd shifts before, and I was either on my way home, or working. I refer to those out looking for trouble i.e. on other people's property at odd hours. Your right; crime happens at all hours.

3 people dead would make the news in the Triad, but three people just shot but survived, you'll hear about it once maybe twice, then it would be blow over quick. I heard a shot in the middle of the night looked outside my neighbor was on the ground bleeding,EMS came scooped him up, and til this day I haven't heard nothing else about it. I watch the news and read the paper and heard nothing.In fact their was a up and coming female rapper in Goldsboro, who was brutally "assassinated" in Mt.Olive, I never seen one thing here or any other news outlets about it. WTF!
