Special Meaning Behind Holiday Light Display

The Hoggard triplets Christmas display in Windsor, Bertie County, beat out some heavy competition throughout Eastern Carolina to take first place in WITN's Look At Those Lights competition. Behind this incredible display of over 175,000 lights put up by Herman, Sherman and Therman Hoggard, lies a tragic story of loss and healing. The Hoggard's Christmas spectacular all began after Therman's daughter was killed in 1991. Therman says, "That angel over there is one of the first pieces made in dedication to my daughter, who got killed and we just started from there with my wife and my daughters, it just started getting larger and larger". The Hoggard Christmas display will continue through January sixth.
