His title was "Godfather of Soul," and music fans are now mourning the death of James Brown.
He died on Christmas morning, in an Atlanta, Georgia hospital. Officials say Brown, who was 73, was ill from pneumonia and died of heart failure. Officials also say he was suffering from diabetes and prostate cancer that was in remission.
Brown produced many classic singles during his storied life, like "I Got You (I Feel Good)." His stage presence was not surpassed by many.
The Reverend Al Sharpton will officiate at Brown's funeral. Details of the service are not yet known.
