Shooting Victims Remembered
Less than 24 hours later some people have gone back to the spot where violence erupted in downtown Greenville leaving two people dead.

Less than 24 hours later some people have gone back to the spot where violence erupted in downtown Greenville leaving two people dead.
With chalk in hand--the sidewalk in front of The Other Place in Greenville was transformed into a place for people to write messages and leave drawings -- remembering two lives cut too short.
Friends and employees took turns placing flowers and writing messages to honor both Landon Blackley and Andrew Kirby--both gunned down early Tuesday morning in what friends are calling a senseless act.
Kirby, a manager at Michelangelo's, and Blackley a rising senior at East Carolina University are honored on the sidewalk for now, but friends say their lives will be remembered forever.
A group on the social networking site Facebook has been created in the memory of Andrew Kirby.

John M get your facts straight concealed carry is allowed in NC but not into establishments where alchol is served or that charge admission. Obama has nothing to do with concealed carry laws in NC. Having a concealed weapon is not a solve all. If you are not paying attention and dont notice whats going on around you having a gun does not help. And yes I do have a conceal carry permit. \

The only sensible thing you said was that this is tragic, you should have stopped right there. G'ville PD, get to work and get these thugs in the electric chair where they belong. I am sick and tired of supporting them. Maybe when that happens I can get my half percent annual salary cut back!
