Rash of Armed Robberies In Eastern Carolina

There were several armed robberies over the weekend.

The first one to tell you about is in Kinston. Authorities say a suspect pulled a knife and demanded money from a clerk at the Kangaroo Express on North Heritage Street in the wee hours Monday morning. It happened around 4AM. Authorities say the suspect left on foot with $40 worth of cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of cash.

In Beaufort County, authorities are trying to track down a masked gunman. Lawmen there say the masked suspect held up Cratch's Store on Highway 264 West of Washington, where it intersects with Horton Station Road in Beaufort County. Lawmen say the gunman sped away from the scene at around 7:15 Sunday morning.

In Greenville, police say an armed robber targeted a person in a bank parking lot this weekend. Police say it happened just after midnight Saturday, in which a man in a hooded sweatshirt with a gun robbed the person in the BB&T parking lot on Evans Street in Greenville.
