County Commissioner Pushing For Resolution Against Same Sex Marriage
Same sex marriage, a controversial issue on both the federal and state levels now becomes a burning topic for one county here in the east.

Same sex marriage, a controversial issue on both the federal and state levels now becomes a burning topic for one county here in the east.
People in Greenville spoke out Monday night in front of the Pitt County Board of Commissioners about same sex marriage.
County Commissioner, David Hammond, urged fellow board members to adopt a resolution opposing same sex marriage.
This resolution is in support of state lawmakers proposing an amendment to North Carolina's constitution that would define marriage as a union between a man and woman.
If passed, the amendment would be decided by voters and put on the November ballot.
That very reason is why Commissioner Hammond, says Pitt County should take a strong stance against same sex marriage now.
No decision was made by the County Commissioners to adopt Hammond's proposed resolution.

A sexual choice again, is not a right, religion or state of passage, it is a sexual preference. I am not hitting on the religious right you seem to like to attack, I am hitting on the point, I do not want the US to look like Amersterdam, it looks better looking like America. I know you are a progressive liberal and that fine, just don't bash on those that constitute the majority if we don't see it your way.

and once again you proved my point of picking and choosing: "I don't like the sin, not the person, the sin." Whats the difference between an abombination and a sin? Does that mean you dont like the other 64 abombinations mentioned in the bible? Such as women wears men's clothing (pants), wearing two different fabrics at the same time (most shirts contain two diff. fabrics), adultery, remarriage, coveting a women during her menstral cycle, etc etc. Do you live you life according to those as well? Either way, we are all born into this world the same way, yet we strive to exit it while stepping on others.
