Here is how ONWASA released the information to WITN:
Some ONWASA Customers Experiencing
Water Pressure Problems
JACKSONVILLE – Residents of Holly Ridge, North Topsail Beach, and Verona may be experiencing erratic water pressures throughout this weekend. Monitoring equipment was damaged by lightning Friday evening, and the ability of the Dixon Water Treatment Plant to automatically adjust the pressure has been affected. ONWASA has increased staffing at the water treatment plant and staff is continually making adjustments to the water delivery system in order to provide adequate water pressure throughout the area.
If customers in these areas are experiencing low water pressure, ONWASA is requesting them to contact the office at 455-0722. By learning where water pressure is inadequate, staff can better adjust the delivery system.
ONWASA apologizes to customers for any inconvenience. Staff will continue to work to improve low water pressures throughout the area until repairs can be completed to the computer system.
