An armored vehicle crashed into a canopy at a downtown Greenville business this morning, right across from city hall.
The accident closed one lane of South Greene Street.
Witnesses say it appeared the driver had a medical emergency prior to the accident.
Police say the armored vehicle first struck a parked car with no one inside before crashing into the canopy at Pugh's Tire & Service Center. The parked car was still in front of the truck when it finally stopped.
Both people inside the armored vehicle were taken to Pitt County Memorial Hospital with unknown injuries.

Witnesses say that the driver was slumped over the wheel. He had to have a heart attack or something of the likes, maybe a diabetic seizure or shock. My friend works at Pugh's and said the driver was unconscious when they got to the scene. the other guy had a cut head, but was okay, looked like he only needed a stitch or two.
